Knife-wielding would-be robber flees after scuffle A Superior Athletic Club employee was cut by a knife-wielding, would-be robber Sunday night. The employee was dumping the trash and was confronted by a man armed with a knife just after 5 p.m. Sunday behind the club at 727 Cardley Ave. The man demanded money and, when the employee refused, the two scuffled. Police said the employee suffered a small cut on the arm but did not require medical attention. The suspect is described as a skinny white man in his late 20s or early 30s. He was wearing a blue stocking cap, a dark jacket with a light hood and dark pants. Police said the man ran south from the fight and officers used a dog to try to track him, but the dog lost the scent near Royal Avenue.
