Sgt. Ken Selig said two men whose faces were covered by bandannas apparently forced their way into a residence in the 2700 block of Leonard Road about 5 p.m. They demanded money and drugs, and fired shots inside the house before escaping in a waiting vehicle, Selig said. He described one suspect as a white male, five feet, nine inches to six feet tall; with short orange hair, dressed all in black. The other suspect was a Hispanic male, five feet six to five feet eight inches tall, of stocky build, dressed all in red. Selig said evidence indicated a violent struggle took place in the house, but injuries to the occupants were minimal, and they did not seek medical treatment. Selig declined to identify the occupants. He asked anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the Leonard Road area early Sunday to call the Josephine County Major Crime Unit at 541-474-5153. There is also an anonymous tip line at 541-474-5160.
