Ashland police on Sunday arrested Tenney on a felony drunken driving charge. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday in lieu of $100,000 bail. Robbery — Christine Renee Wodke, 20, of the 200 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies on Monday arrested Wodke on charges of third-degree robbery and third-degree theft. She was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where she was being held Monday in lieu of $15,000 bail. Drugs — Herbert Charles Ball, 53, of the 200 block of North Sixth Street, Central Point. Ball made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was processed at the Jackson County Jail, then released Monday on his own recognizance. Drugs — Thomas Cole Grissom, Jr., 31, of the 200 block of North Sixth Street, Central Point. Grissom made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was processed at the Jackson County Jail, then released Monday on his own recognizance. Vehicle theft — Lewis Ray Johnson, 20, of La Center, Wash. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies on Monday arrested Johnson on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, second-degree criminal mischief and depositing trash in a waterway. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday in lieu of $30,000 bail. Advertisement Crime reports Theft — 3200 block of Miller Court, Medford. Medford police took a report Monday of the theft of 300 compact discs from a parked vehicle. The theft, valued at $6,000, was reported at 11:08 a.m. Fire calls Grass fire — A human-caused fire burned an acre of grass and brush Monday near Gold Hill before a heavy assault from the Oregon Department of Forestry quelled the blaze. The 3:35 p.m. fire, in the 2500 block of Upper River Road, drew five state forestry engines, a hand crew, one bulldozer and water drops from two helicopters. Crews continued mop-up late into the night. Miscellaneous Jail releases — A total of 107 inmates were released last week from the Jackson County Jail to meet its court-ordered cap of no more than 190 inmates. Of those, 41 were released before their scheduled court appearances, none was granted an early release from a sentence and 66 were released for miscellaneous reasons.
