Janackovic, Berry, Guy gain All-American status Senior post player Nada Janackovic of Southern Oregon University's women's basketball team has been named a first-team All-American. Janackovic, who averaged 20.8 points a game as a senior, becomes the second SOU player in history to become a repeat first-team All-American. The other repeat first-team All-American player for the Raiders was Melissa Bogh in 1997-98. Denise Berry, Janackovic's teammate, was named a third-team All-American as a senior post player. Berry averaged 15.4 points and 8.2 rebounds a game. SOU men's basketball player Don Guy was named an honorable mention All-American. Guy helped SOU win its first Cascade Conference title and its first conference tournament championship before the Raiders were eliminated in the first round of the NAIA national tournament last week. Guy averaged 12.3 points a game and led the Cascade Conference in assists with 5.3 per game. He shot .785 from the free-throw line.
