An Oregon State Police trooper Wednesday arrested Dillon on warrants charging him with first-degree theft and a probation violation. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail. Drugs — Robert Lee Strother, 22, no known address. Medford police Wednesday arrested Strother on charges of possession of methamphetamine and a parole violation. He was lodged in jail without bail. Warrant — Thayne Mehta Abraham, 24, of the 800 block of Siskiyou Boulevard, Ashland. Ashland police Wednesday arrested Abraham on three warrants charging him with first-degree rape and second-degree sexual abuse. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Wednesday on $2 million bail. Assault — Michael Elliott Papac, 39, of Alturas, Calif. A Jackson County sheriff's deputy Wednesday arrested Papac on charges of felony assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, third-degree escape and a probation violation. He was lodged in jail without bail. Drugs — Christopher Lawrence Urie, 23, of the 1800 block of Crater Lake Avenue, Medford. Medford police Wednesday arrested Urie on charges of possession of methamphetamine and a probation violation. He was lodged in jail without bail. Warrant — Joyce Janice Menagh, 31, no known address. Medford police Wednesday arrested Menagh on warrants charging her with delivery of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and first-degree child neglect. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Wednesday on $50,000 bail. Crime reports Theft — 1100 block of Hilton Road, Medford. Medford police Wednesday took a report in which construction equipment valued at $1,650 was stolen. Miscellaneous An Eagle Point man spent a night lost in the woods near his home only to be found Wednesday evening by the Jackson County search and rescue team. Jay Mitchell, 46, of the 4400 block of Crowfoot Road, told police he left his home late Tuesday to take a walk through the woods and look at the stars, said Sheriff Mike Winters. "He said he got lost in the dark and became disorientated," Winters said. "He was wearing only shorts and tennis shoes with no shirt." Shelly Chapman, Mitchell's girlfriend, called a friend and went looking for him to no avail. They called police at around 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Sheriff's Department dispatched search dogs and a helicopter and finally found Mitchell at around 5:30 p.m. just 500 yards from his home, Winters said. "He was a little scratched up and hungry," Winters said.
