Falcons topple Mustangs KLAMATH FALLS - Football season is over, but the Klamath Falls American Legion baseball team warmed up for the fall by putting up a 24-10 victory over the Medford Mustangs on Wednesday at Kiger Stadium. The two-touchdown margin came as a result of 20 Falcon hits and five home runs. The Mustangs jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first inning, but Klamath Falls was just getting warmed up. The Falcons scored 10 runs over the first three innings and added 14 over the next three for their fifth win against no losses on the season. Brian Kinsman had four hits and eight RBI - four coming on a fourth-inning grand slam - and belted two homers. Jeff Mortenson joined in on the hit parade with two doubles and a roundtripper of his own. Medford's Evan McArthur took a page from Kinsman and belted a grand slam in the seventh inning, but things were already out of hand. The two teams hook up again today in another non-league 6 p.m. game at Miles Field.
