Police believe Schnee Bedford, 17, was living in the Sacramento area after leaving the Central Point foster care home July 5. On Nov. 9, however, they received an unconfirmed sighting of Bedford in the area of West 12th Street in Medford, and police and family members want to re-establish contact with her. Police on Monday issued a missing person flier in hopes of getting public assistance in locating Bedford. "Right now, we’re just concerned about her," Central Point police Sgt. Chuck Newell said Monday. "It hasn’t reached the state of missing-endangered yet. We just want to check on her welfare." Police and Bedford’s family had expected contact over the Thanksgiving holiday, Newell said. The lack of contact heightened their concern for her, prompting Monday’s flier, Newell said. Advertisement Bedford is described as a white female about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds, with brown hair, hazel eyes and a fair complexion. She has tattoos on both shoulders. The tattoo on her right shoulder is of two hearts and a banner with an unknown woman’s name. Police do not know what the tattoo on her left shoulder looks like. Bedford speaks fluent Spanish. Newell said he did not know why Bedford was in foster care. Anyone with information about Bedford’s whereabouts was urged to telephone police at 664-5578.
