October 10. 2014 2:00AM Jesse Jay Gilchrist On October 5, 2014, we lost our only child at the age of 31 years. Born in Coos Bay, Ore. January 17, 1983. Raised in a Coast Guard family that seem to be constantly having to relocate, his friends became a very important part of him and Jesse made many lifelong friendships in California, Oregon, Massachusetts, and Puerto Rico growing up. He was always able to learn new things quickly, from the sale of commercial fasteners at Harrison & Bonini in San Francisco, the Upholstery Shop to the Computer Systems Tech position at Chinook Winds Casino, to working as a tech at Mike's Marine Service here in Medford, he was always up to new challenges. Jesse was married to Brittany Bonini from Marin County in a beautiful ceremony held under one of our walnut trees. They made such a handsome couple, we all were so proud of them. She is as sweet as Cracker Jacks. He is survived by his parents, Joel and Barbra Gilchrist, Shady Cove Ore.; wife, Brittany Bonini Gilchrist, Eagle Point, Ore.; grandparents, George Thompson, Coos Bay, Ore., Fred and Jerry Braese, Fresno, Calif., and Frances Gilchrist, Central Point, Ore. As Jesse always excelled in hunting for agates at the coast, the memorial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Bandon, Ore., at the South Jetty County Park. I thank God for giving us those 31 years with such a wonderful Son. http://www.mailtribune.com/article/20141010/OBITUARIES/310109997 © 2015 Copyright © 1995-2011 Crain Communications Inc.
