Hike up Grayback Mountain with KS Wild Aug 21, 2014 12:00 AM A A KS Wild will guide a free hike up Grayback Mountain Saturday, Aug. 23. Hikers should meet at 9 a.m. at the Ashland Outdoor Store. 37 N. Third St. Officials describe the 5-mile hike as a "moderately strenuous" journey to the Applegate Valley's landmark peak. Along the way, hikers will see historic cabins and large meadow expanses. Attendees should bring water, comfortable walking or hiking shoes, warm layers and a lunch.
