SOU shows off its 'Comic Potential' May 06, 2004 12:00 AM A A Southern Oregon University's Department of Theatre Arts — presents this term's black box production, Alan Ayckbourn's "Comic Potential," — opening tonight and playing two weekends through Sunday, May 16. — This wonderfully paced futuristic comedy is set in a television — studio where robotic "actoids" have replaced actors. A once famous film — director is reduced to churning out a daytime medical soap opera, while — the studio owner's nephew Adam falls in love with one of the actoids, — JCF31333, otherwise known as Jacie Triplethree. — The Comic Potential cast features Peter Diseth in the — role of Adam and April Lowe as Jacie Triplethree. Completing the cast — are Caroline Crocker, Adrian de Forest, Chris Gates, Craig Jessen, Kelsi — Knudsen, Daria Lisandrelli and Sean Kelly, Garrett Liggett, Missy Leonard, — Mike Stanfill and Joanna Tyler. SOU faculty member, Dale Luciano will — direct. — SOU Theatre Arts student designs include scenic designer — Paul Garcia, light designer Brandon LeClerc, costume designer Kathleen — Trott and sound designer Kim Fuhr. — Comic Potential runs Thursday through Sunday evenings, — May 6-15 with two matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday, May 8 and — May 9 and another matinee on Sunday, May 16. Tickets are $15 general, — $13 senior, and $8 for students and are available at the SOU Theatre Arts — Box Office located at the Theatre Building on the SOU campus, Monday-Friday, — 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and two hours prior to each performance.
