SINCE YOU ASKED Since You Asked: Giant flea market at the Armory is closed until 2017 Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Aug. 12, 2016 at 12:01 AM Posted Aug. 12, 2016 at 12:01 AM » Social News What happened to the flea markets and the antiques and collectable shows at the Armory? They are greatly missed. — Judy, Talent There is good news and bad news for the flea market, Judy. The bad news is that construction at the Armory is still underway, according to information provided by the Medford Giant Flea Market phone line. The flea markets typically run one Sunday per month throughout the year. Although the market's website states that "in 40 years, only two markets have been canceled, one due to a fire and one due to a flood," the market's current cancelation is from neither. The Medford Armory, located at 1701 S. Pacific Hwy., has been under construction because of lead contimatination. The good news is that the market will reopen on Jan. 15, 2017. Call 541-772-8211 to get more information, or leave a message regarding the market. Also, if you're a social media type, The Original Medford Giant Flea Market has a Facebook page that includes updates on the construction progress. Plus there's always the website at fleaforall.net that should be updated and rarin' to go once the doors open up again. — Send questions to “Since You Asked,” Mail Tribune Newsroom, P.O.
