Fleck, Segundo top One World lineup Tickets for concerts in Southern Oregon University's popular One World music series go on sale today. The award-winning series begins Nov. 9 and runs through May 6, presenting entertainers from around the world. Season tickets went on sale last month, but this is the first opportunity to buy sets for individual shows. The season's lineup includes five shows at the Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater in Medford and three at Southern Oregon University in Ashland. Here's a schedule: Nov. 9 and 10 , Medford -- Bela Fleck and the Flecktones and the David Grisman Quintet. Nov. 14 , Medford -- Compay Segundo, the 92-year-old Cuban legend on vocals and guitar. Segundo is featured on guitarist Ry Cooder's "Buena Vista Social Club" recording. Jan. 28 , Ashland -- Celtic Music Festival, starring Martin Hayes on fiddle and Dennis Cahill on guitar. Opening is Skye. This will be the fourth annual "One World" Celtic bash. Feb. 6 , Ashland -- Radio Tarifa, a group from southern Spain that combines Spanish, Moroccan and flamenco influences. Feb. 19 , Medford -- The Oakland (Calif.) Interfaith Gospel Choir. April 1 , Medford -- The National Song and Dance Company of Mozambique. April 16 , Medford -- Nordic Night: The Best of Norway, Sweden and Finland. May 6 , Ashland -- Tibetan Freedom Concerts, two concerts with the monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery in India. Prices vary from $10 to $37.50. Full-time Southern Oregon University students get in for half price. For tickets, call the Craterian at 779-3000 or SOU at 552-6461.
