Monday street closures for firefighter memorial By Mail Tribune staff Updated: Aug 27, 2022 06:34 PM A A The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Medford Police Department and Oregon State Police will escort the funeral procession Monday morning for ODF contract firefighter Logan Taylor, 25, of Talent, who died while fighting the Rum Creek Fire in Josephine County. The procession and temporary street closures in Medford will begin promptly at 9 a.m., and traffic will be affected along the route, according to a news advisory issued Saturday. Temporary street closures include: Barnett Road from Alba Drive to Stewart Avenue Stewart Avenue from Barnett Road to Riverside Avenue Riverside Avenue from Stewart Avenue to Highway 99 to Lowry Lane Residents are asked to avoid the area if possible. If you would like to watch the procession, park in a designated parking spot along Highway 99 between Riverside and Lowry Lane. The funeral service is open to the public, at Harry & David Field, 2929 S. Pacific Highway, Medford.
