Emergency services, Jan. 24 Wednesday Jan 24, 2018 at 8:00 AM Felony arrests Elude — Charles Joseph Thorne, 33, of the 600 block of Cane Creek Road, Central Point. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Thorne Tuesday on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, a felony warrant charging him with possessing heroin, a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving and for violating his probation on a prior first-degree theft conviction. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail Tuesday on $25,000 bail. Sex Offender — Scott Lee Ashbaugh, 26, no known address. Medford police arrested Ashbaugh Tuesday on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender, and for violating his parole on a prior failure to register his address as a sex offender conviction. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail. Vehicle Theft — Christopher Lee Alexander, 31, of the 200 block of South Shasta Avenue, Eagle Point. On Tuesday, Alexander made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on felony charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and first-degree theft, and on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of disorderly conduct. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance. Drugs — Jeramiah Ernest Hinkle, 40, of the 3100 block of Kingsgate Circle, Medford. On Tuesday, Hinkle made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.
