South Medford senior Kyle Owings was a Class 6A first-team selection. The Southwest Conference player of the year finished with a school-record 29 goals for the Panthers, who won the league title and finished 10-2-4 overall. At the 5A level, Ashland senior Stenley Graham earned first-team recognition. He was also one of four players honored as the Midwestern League’s most valuable for the Grizzlies, who finished 9-4-1 overall. Cascade Christian senior Travis Cave and St. Mary’s seniors Hunter Rothfus and Alex Robertson were chosen to the 3A/2A/1A first team. Cave was the District 5 player of the year after amassing 25 goals and nine assists for the Challengers, who finished 10-4 overall. Rothfus and Robertson also made the District 5 first team for the Crusaders, who went 15-3 overall and fell in the 3A/2A/1A state semifinals. On the girls side, St. Mary’s senior MaryBeth Barnum earned first-team recognition. Barnum repeated as District 5 player of the year after scoring 18 goals and recording 10 assists for the Crusaders, who finished 14-3-1 overall and lost in the state semifinals. Landing spots on the second team were St. Mary’s senior Ellie Hough and Cascade Christian junior Erika Worthington.
