Ballots go out Friday and must be returned by 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8. Drop site locations include the Jackson County Elections Office, 1101 W. Main St., Suite 201, Medford; Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland; Central Point library, 116 S. Third St., Central Point; Eagle Point library, 239 W. Main St., Eagle Point; and Rogue River library, 412 E. Main St., Rogue River. All have ballot drop boxes open 24 hours daily beginning Monday, Oct. 24. John Anhorn Age: 74 Occupation: Retired banker Education: Degree in Business Administration, Oregon State University Political experience: Jackson County Budget Committee, four years; SAIF Corp., eight years (chairman for five); Jackson County Fair Board member, three years; Committee to select Medford City Manager Top priorities: 1) City priorities should be: public safety; better customer service for business and citizens; more livable city; quality of life for citizens; home availability and affordability; parks and recreation for community; spending tax dollars wisely and efficiently; secure the best for Medford's families and businesses. 2) A better Medford for us all: collaboration with other Southern Oregon cities and municipalities to open the door to more opportunities for our region. The ripple effect of this positive action will create a more positive atmosphere for Rogue Valley citizens and businesses.   Gary Wheeler Age: 72 Occupation: Optometric physician Education: Bachelor of Science; Doctor of Optometry Political experience: Medford mayor, three terms; Medford Urban Renewal board, 12 years Top priorities: 1) Continue to be a well-run and efficient city, fiscally sound and responsible with a dedicated staff. 2) Continue to explore new opportunities to advance our city and to make our city the best place in Oregon in which to live, work and play. None of this can be accomplished without a mayor and City Council having a shared vision and common goals.
