I am hoping that your researchers can help me and him understand what the city code says about leaving trailers in the front area of a home. Believe me, I would rather see a garden gnome. — Carl B., via emai l Carl, get out your measuring tape. If your neighbor’s trailer is parked less than 20 feet from the front of his property, then you have the right as an annoyed neighbor to call Medford Code Enforcement and complain. An officer will respond, explain the law and, if you’re neighbor doesn't comply, then issue a $150 citation for every day it's left there. According to Medford Municipal Code 6.330, neither vehicles nor trailers can be parked “in an unimproved portion of the front setback of any structure in any residential zoned district.” “If they (your neighbor) want to pave the first 20 feet of their property, then they can park it anywhere,” explained Medford police Lt.
