Highlights include: Children’s activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the I.O.O.F Hall, North Oregon and Main streets, and from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Children’s Museum, North Fifth and C streets. Exhibit on the role the Chinese played in Jacksonville’s history from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library on West C Street. Art amble featuring Chinese-inspired works at Scarlet Palette, GeBzz, Pegasus and Ambus galleries. Entertainment on the Third Street Stage throughout the day, including music, martial arts and dance. Demonstrations on acupuncture, feng shui and herbs beginning at 11 a.m. at Old City Hall, South Oregon and Main streets. Advertisement Hot dog sale at the fire department, North Third and California streets, from noon to 3:30 p.m. Parade through downtown at 2 p.m., featuring a traditional lion dance. More information is available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, sponsor of Chinese New Year, at West C and North Oregon streets.
