PREP CROSS COUNTRY: Crater boys, girls win Crusader Invite By Mail Tribune staff Sep 03, 2019 09:55 PM A A Crater’s boys and girls cross country teams breezed to titles in the 31st Crusader Invitational Tuesday at Bear Creek Park. The Comet girls scored 20 points and had the Nos. 2 through 6 placers, led by Presley Robison. North Medford’s Estella Gutches won the 3,000-meter race in 11 minutes, 30.48 seconds, and Robison was second in 11:43.34. The Comets’ Taryn Dance was third in 12:04.17, and teammate Haylee Baldwin was fourth in 12:23.23. In the boys race, Crater won with 26 points. Comets Matthew Schenk and Gage Reed were second and third in 9:48.71 and 9:50.55, respectively. North Valley’s Patrick Clayburn won the race in 9:50.55. BOYS TEAM SCORES: Crater 26, North Medford 67, Hidden Valley 69, North Valley 98, Cascade Christian 110, St. Mary’s 153.
