Jackson County reports 50 new COVID-19 cases By Vickie Aldous By Mail Tribune staff Updated: Nov 23, 2021 02:59 PM A A County records two additional COVID-19 related deaths Jackson County Public Health reported 50 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday and two additional COVID-19 related deaths. A 91-year-old woman died at her residence and a 71-year-old man died at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center. Both had underlying conditions, Jackson County Public Health said. Statewide, the Oregon Health Authority reported 869 new COVID-19 cases and 51 additional deaths. On Tuesday, Jackson County Public Health reported there were 37 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Jackson and Josephine County hospitals. Of those, 13 patients were in intensive care. Josephine County logged 16 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday and three deaths. The Jackson County COVID-19 testing and vaccination site at The Expo in Central Point is closed Thursday through Sunday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
