Lindstrom, 86, passed away peacefully January 2, 2015 at her home at Veranda Park with her family. Shirley was born October 28, 1928 to Toby and Hilda Hendrickson in Iron River, Mich. Shirley graduated from Iron River High School and later Milwaukee Business School. On June 12, 1948 she married Charles Lowell Lindstrom. They had three children, Barbara, Paula, and Peter. In 1968 Charles's job took them to Roseburg, Ore. and then to Bogot, Columbia. In 1985 Charles retired and he and Shirley spent their retirement years traveling and living in Tucson, Ariz. before returning to Oregon in 2003 to be closer to family. Shirley's passions were entertaining, golf, knitting, reading, traveling, and especially playing bridge. She is survived by her husband of 66 years; daughter, Barb Pinkham (Don) of Medford; and son, Peter Lindstrom (Theresa) of Roseburg; as well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Paula in 2007. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Conger Morris Central Point Chapel, 800 S. Front, Central Point, Ore. Private interment will be held at a later date at Eagle Point National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to ACCESS, 3630 Aviation Way, Medford, Oregon 97504 or the charity of your choice. The family would like to thank Lori at Providence Hospice and the caregivers at Senior Solutions for their compassionate care during the past month.
