Reagan died from congestive heart failure in her home on Sunday morning, spokeswoman Joanne Drake said in a statement . She will be buried next to her late husband at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Library in Simi Valley, Calif. Remember other celebrities who have passed in 2016 Before entering the world of politics with her husband, Reagan, born Anne Frances Robbins, starred in 12 films and several TV shows, including 1957's Hellcats of the Navy , in which she appeared opposite Ronald, whom she married in 1952. Known for her fierce loyalty to her husband, Reagan gave up her acting career in 1965 after Ronald announced he was running for governor of California. (She later appeared as herself on Diff'rent Strokes in 1978 and Dynasty in 1981.) Ronald served two terms as governor before becoming the 40th president of the United States in 1981. It was during her tenure as first lady that Nancy Reagan began the "Just Say No" anti-drugs campaign. The Reagans left the White House after two terms in 1989 and retired to a quiet life in California. Reagan stuck by her husband's side as he battled and ultimately succumbed to Alzheimer's in 2004. She became an advocate for stem cell research, in hopes of finding a cure for Alzheimer's. Reagan is survived by her two children, Ron Reagan and Patti Davis. In lieu of flowers, Reagan requested contributions be made to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Library .
