Commercial development creeps along at a snail’s pace here in Medford, but as one real estate broker told the SYA’s new restaurant search committee, Friday’s is on its way. The Dallas-based chain wants to build in Tower Business Park across Crater Lake Highway from Outback Steakhouse. Word is that its agents are trying to persuade the city to put a traffic light near Webfoot Road. The city and state are in the very early phases of reconfiguring traffic flow in the general area between Delta Waters and Coker Butte roads — a troublesome and heavily congested spot.
