Apparently, a lot of people want a tower in their backyard. Georgia Taylor, a spokesperson for Verizon Wireless, also said, "We got quite a few calls on that." Although she wouldn’t say how much Verizon pays to lease the land for the tower, two local people have told us they’re getting about $1,000 a month. Taylor said the amount probably varies depending on location and other factors. You can call Taylor to put your name on the list at (425)603-2894. U.S. Cellular, which just installed a new tower on top of the Rogue Regency Inn in Medford, also is looking for land for lease.
