The $36 million Oregon Department of Transportation project, designed to improved safety and traffic flow in and around I-5 and Highway 62, is scheduled for completion in October. The girders will be placed by crane from atop the Highway 62 overpass onto the new support structures. Electronic message boards will be placed on I-5 north of Central Point and south of the south Medford interchange, alerting drivers to the traffic restrictions.
