Crispin vaults to top of GPD standings GRANTS PASS � Jockey Joe Crispin finished the weekend with a bang by reeling off victories in the seventh, eighth and ninth races on Sunday at Grants Pass Downs. Shawna Barber guided Bearka ($3) to the mare�s second straight win in the sixth race to sit atop the riders standings, but only for 25 minutes. Crispin piloted Light Joe Fire ($5.60) to a smart victory in the seventh, a 5�-furlong event for $2,500 claimers, and then returned shortly to guide Apeak ($3) in the eighth to the win. Crispin ended the weekend by winning the nightcap aboard Anydayinmay ($7.40) for trainer Leroy Twiggs to finish the first six days of racing at GPD with 13 winners to Barber�s 11. Gerald Robinson had a good outing Sunday to put himself atop the trainers� standings with nine winners through six days. Scott Raley has seven victories. Robinson did his damage in a 30-minute period as he saddled Both Boots ($6) to victory in the second and returned with Cut Flowers ($8) in the third.
