Alter Tamara A. (Tammy) Alter stepped into the presence of Jesus March 29, 2015. She is the cherished wife of Terry J. Alter and the beloved daughter of Mary and Floyd Moss. Tammy was born in Whittier, Calif. in 1957 and has two brothers, Steve and Gary Moss. She married her true love and best friend, Terry, September 21, 1992 in Eagle River, Alaska. They have a daughter, Gail Fletcher and grandchild Mosley. Tammy joins their son, Kyle, in Heaven. She had many talents including stained glass making, gardening, knitting, and kayaking and was an avid camper and hiker. Her occupation, until retirement, was as a dental assistant. Her passion was her Lord, her husband, her family, and her friends. Tammy’s greatest gift was making people feel loved and “at home” around her and she was always smiling. She had a favorite poem: “In some other place, somewhere far away from here, we’ll begin again” ­ Tyler Knott Gregson. There will be a celebration of Tammy’s life at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Memory Gardens Chapel on Arnold Lane with Pastor Mark Meredith officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Tammy’s name to: Seattle Children’s Hospital & Research Foundation. Arrangements were made through Conger Morris of Central Point.
