Gold Hill woman found guilty in crash that killed daughter Necia Marie Hanson Wednesday May 10, 2017 at 5:50 PM May 10, 2017 at 5:50 PM Local report A jury has convicted a Gold Hill woman of manslaughter and assault charges in a car crash that killed her young daughter and injured her son. Necia Marie Hanson, 28, was found guilty of felony charges of second-degree manslaughter and third-degree assault, along with a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree assault in the crash that killed 6-year-old Bella Keesee and injured Hanson's son, Bernie Robert Keesee, last year. The jury acquitted Hanson on a more serious count of first-degree manslaughter and driving under the influence of intoxicants. On April 15, 2016, Hanson was driving her car on Blackwell Road near Dean Creek Road when she reportedly veered her car into a semitrailer headed in the opposite direction just before 5:30 p.m. Her daughter was ejected from the car and died at the scene.  A sentencing hearing is set for May 17. Manslaughter in the second-degree is a Measure 11 charge that carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 75 months.
