Felony arrests Weapon — Lonnie Bryan Dees, 41, of Kearns, Utah. On Thursday, Dees made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of felon in possession of a firearm and a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants in a case that originated in 1996. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance. Coercion — Gary Lee Perkins II, 25, no known address. Medford police arrested Perkins Thursday on felony warrants charging him with two counts of coercion, and misdemeanor warrants charging him with fourth-degree assault consisting of domestic violence, harassment, possessing methamphetamine and on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of coercion and possessing meth. He was lodged in jail Thursday on $27,500 bail. Rape — Joshua Edward Curphey, 35, of the 4500 block of Fish Lake Road, Butte Falls. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Curphey Thursday on felony charges of third-degree rape and second-degree sexual abuse. He was lodged in jail Thursday. Vehicle Theft — James Robert Carpenter, 31, of the 2600 block of Sand Creek Road, Grants Pass. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Carpenter Thursday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and on an out-of-county warrant charging him with violating his probation on a prior heroin-possession conviction. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday. Vehicle Theft — Emily Catherine Toledo, 23, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Toledo Thursday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She was booked in the jail and released Thursday. Drugs — Aieriel Elizabeth Davidson, 29, of the 1990 block of Homeview Drive, Medford. On Thursday, Davidson made her initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. She was booked in the jail and released Thursday on her own recognizance. Drugs — John Peter Hinton, 54, of the 800 block of South Columbus Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Hinton Thursday on felony charges of delivering and possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday. Theft — Marissa Marie Thibert, 31, of the 3300 block of Delta Waters Road, Medford. On Thursday, Thibert made her initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of first-degree theft and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft. She was booked in the jail and released Thursday on her own recognizance. Vehicle Theft — Charles Raymond Caldwell, 45, of Mount Shasta, California. Ashland police arrested Caldwell Thursday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor charges of second-degree disorderly conduct, interfering with police and attempt to elude police on foot. He was booked in the jail Thursday and released. ID Theft — Latasha Maigen Pech, 37, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Pech Thursday on felony warrants charging her with two felony counts of identity theft. She was lodged in jail Thursday on $7,500 bail. Robbery — Thomas Lawrence Gullock, 53, no known address. Central Point police arrested Gullock Thursday on felony warrants charging him with first- and second-degree robbery, second- and third-degree assault, first-degree burglary and misdemeanor counts of strangulation and fourth-degree assault and strangulation. He was lodged in jail Thursday on $87,500 bail. Crime reports Theft — Windermere and Woodbriar drives, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen black Gucci belt at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday. The loss was valued at $450. Theft — 500 block of Oak Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 4:16 a.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included a heavy firefighting blanket, a red firefighting backpack with green fluorescent tape and two large firefighting Hydro Flasks. The loss was valued at $909. Theft — 500 block of North Grape Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen bicycle at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday. The loss and damage to a backyard fence was valued at $300. Theft — East Ninth Street and Portland Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 12:52 p.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen included a Paul Reed Smith guitar, a six-string acoustic guitar and seven harmonicas inside a case. The loss was valued at $2,350. Vandalism — 100 block of North Front Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a vehicle break-in at 10:47 p.m. Wednesday. Damage to the vehicle was valued at $150. Theft — 3500 block of South Village Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 7:28 a.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included 12 bank cards, a retired Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept. badge and a CCW permit. Vandalism — 700 block of Biddle Road. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a business window at 7:54 a.m. Thursday. The damage was valued at $500. Vandalism — 1100 block of Stevens Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of graffiti to a residence at 8:15 a.m. Thursday. The damage was valued at $250. Vandalism — East Fifth and Apple streets, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a parking sign at 8:20 a.m. Thursday. The damage was valued at $2,000. Vandalism — 1200 block of East McAndrews Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of slashed tires to four vehicles at 8:32 a.m. Thursday. The damage was valued at $3,000. Burglary — 4600 block of Hathaway Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 9:06 a.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included ammunition reloading equipment, a 4-gallon compressor, vehicle and house keys, boxes of .243-caliber ammunition, and a bag with zipper. The loss was valued at $950. Theft — 1500 block of Springbrook Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a break-in to an enclosed travel trailer at 10:36 a.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included to blue Yamaha generators, a 17-inch HP laptop, power plugs and a red plastic 5-gallon gas can. The loss was valued at $4,505. Theft — 1800 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a shoplift at 10:49 a.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a bottle of fragrance, Nike clothing including a pair of joggers, two hoodies, two pairs of shorts and a green printed training T-shirt. The loss was valued at $452. Vandalism — 700 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of graffiti to Redwood Inn at 1:02 p.m. Thursday. The damage was valued at $1,000. Burglary — 3700 block of Fieldbrook Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 1:57 p.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included firearms inside a Big R gun safe and a 20-volt cordless drill. The loss was valued at $8,700.
