Faryl is an artist who works in a variety of mediums such as etchings, oils, watercolor paintings. She has served on the Board of Southern Oregon Univerity’s Schneider Museum of Art, taught and shown work and helped form the Ashland Gallery Association. Tuesday, April 24 Center for the Visual Arts: Portland-based artists and student art exhibits will be displayed as part of the Oregon Fringe Festival through Friday, April 29, in the Art and Marion Ady buildings, corner of Siskiyou Boulevard and Indiana Street at Southern Oregon University in Ashland. Look for works in a variety of mediums by a cohort of students in the Studio Art and Emerging Median and Digital Arts programs, “Left Edge Collaborative Studio” in the Retzlaff Gallery; Ruth Lantz work will be shown in the Thorndike Gallery; Ashley Clasby and Dr. Wilkins-O’Riley Zinn have their artwork in the Boise-Cascade Gallery; and a collection of work “Out of True” by Pacific Northwest College of the Arts Masters of Fine Arts Candidates will be in the Art Department Chairs Gallery. SOCAN: Southern Oregon Climate Action Now will host a general meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave. Ryan Sandler, Warning Coordination Meteorologist with the NOAA U.S. Weather Service will give a presentation on global warming trends. Ryan will bring data from the national weather service, provide the historic records and show what the trends have been nationally, statewide and locally over the last century.
