The cathedral’s dean, Norbert Feldhoff, said the blackout is meant to make people participating in the march think about their actions, adding that the group, also known as Pegida, is comprised of extreme racists as well as “those in the middle of society.” The group has gained traction in the country, leading Prime Minister Angela Merkel to denounce it in her new year address. Previous marches and rallies in other German cities have attracted as many as 17,000 people. SURVEY SAYS A new Pew poll of members of the 114th Congress has revealed that 92 percent are Christian, and only .2 percent self-declare as religiously unaffiliated. (That .2 percent comes from Rep. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz.) By comparison, 20 percent of the general American public is religiously unaffiliated. GOOD BOOK? “How Jesus Became God,” by Bart D.
