Spartans stay hot on the road Oct 04, 2014 12:00 AM A A WHITEFISH, Mont. — The Southern Oregon Spartans kept up their winning ways on the road. Mackenzie Wood recorded a goal and two assists and Denis Creighton had two goals as the Spartans downed the Whitefish Wolverines, 4-1, during Western States Hockey League action on Friday. Southern Oregon (6-1), which has won five straight matches, was making its road debut. Third-period goals by Wood and Jonathon Lovelace helped the Spartans pull away. Goalkeeper Tymen Edelkoort III made 48 saves in a complete-match performance against Whitefish (2-5).
