More than 5,000 fentanyl pills found during Grants Pass arrest By Mail Tribune staff Updated: Mar 31, 2022 05:25 PM A A Grants Pass Police Department photo Police seized more than 5,000 fentanyl pills during an arrest Wednesday. A California man was arrested in Grants Pass Wednesday morning after police allegedly caught him with 5,030 fentanyl pills, one pound of heroin, 3.5 grams of methamphetamine, and a handgun, according to a press release. Jose Antonio Rios-Beltran, 42, of Stockton, California, was arrested on Interstate 5 at milepost 55. Grants Pass police and detectives from the Rogue Area Drug Enforcement and Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement teams participated in the arrest. Rios-Beltran was charged with unlawful delivery and possession of a controlled substance, unlawful delivery and possession of heroin, and being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to Josephine County Circuit Court records.
