A fire line had been built around half of the blaze, burning thick underbrush, dense lodgepole pine and conifers. Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire, located in the northwest corner of Crater Lake National Park. The fire began Saturday and was attacked by fire personnel and three air tankers, a light helicopter, an air attack plane, a lead plane and three engines. Advertisement With little growth Saturday evening, fire officials placed three 20-person crews, a light helicopter, water tender and several engines on the fire Sunday morning. The fire prompted more restrictions on off-highway use in the Prospect and Butte Falls ranger districts.
