Gore and Carlton Janes at the Presbyterian church Friday, April 23, has been enforcedly postponed on account of the crowded condition of the calendar. This program, however, in the preparation of which the pupils have been faithfully studious, will be given at the residence of Mrs. E.E. Gore, 116 Geneva Avenue on Friday evening, before the relatives and intimate friends of the pupils. Both teachers and pupils regret that the public recital could not be given as announced, but this is Holy Week, and seasonal events are numerous. G.Y. Harry, state organizer for the Woodrow Wilson League, will arrive from Portland tomorrow for the purpose of assisting in the organization of a Woodrow Wilson club in this city. The meeting for that purpose will be held on the mezzanine floor of the Hotel Medford tomorrow evening at 8 o'clock. Those interested are requested to be present. The Woodrow Wilson league is a non-partisan organization. Its membership, therefore, is not limited to the membership of any one party. On Friday night, Mr. Harry will assist in the organization of a league at Ashland; on Saturday night at Grants Pass, and on Monday night at Roseburg. Soon after the organization of these leagues for Southern Oregon, a great rally will be held at some point in the valley to be agreed on by the leagues. Miss Myrtle L. Clayville, a teacher in the Medford schools, has been elected as May queen for the annual May festivities of the normal school at Monmouth, this state. These will be held on May 5. Miss Clayville is in Monmouth on leave of absence to complete her normal course and will be granted her state certificate in June. Miss Clayville's many friends and associates in this city are glad to her of her recognition.
