Felony arrests Witness Tampering — Paul Joseph Still, 36, of the 14600 block of Highway 234, Gold Hill. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Still Friday on an additional felony charge of tampering with a witness. Sheriff’s deputies originally arrested Still May 29 on felony counts of attempting to elude police in a vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor count of reckless driving and on out-of-county warrants for failing to appear on previous felon in possession of a weapon and meth-possession charges, and for violating his probation on a prior public indecency conviction. He remained lodged in jail Friday without bail. Sex Offender — David Bradley Mershon, 36, of Bend. Medford police arrested Mershon Thursday on felony charges of failing to register his address as a sex offender and possessing heroin, and on a misdemeanor charge of third-degree theft. He remained lodged in jail Friday on $20,000 bail. Officer Assault — Shannon Christine Towe, 21, no known address. Medford police and Jackson County Community Justice officers arrested Towe Friday on a felony charge of assaulting a police officer, misdemeanor counts of second-degree disorderly conduct, interfering with police and resisting arrest, and on a sanction for violating her probation on a prior second-degree arson conviction. She was lodged in jail Friday without bail. Drugs — Ashley Lynn Ruth, 30, of the 3600 block of Antelope Road, White City. On Friday, Ruth made her initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. She was booked in the jail and released Friday on her own recognizance. Identity Theft — Michelle Laraine Duval, 41, of the 1300 block of Siskiyou Boulevard, Medford. On Friday, Duval made her initial court appearance on three felony counts of identity theft. She was booked in the jail and released Friday on her own recognizance. Elude — Brian Kameron Morris, 21, of the 6000 block of Hillcrest Road, Medford. On Friday, Morris made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance. Crime reports Theft — 1000 block of West 11th Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen black Norco mountain bike at 6:58 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $700. Theft — 500 block of East Main Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen camouflage JanSport backpack and an LG Tribute Dynasty smartphone. The loss was valued at $150. Theft — 1300 block of Center Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a shoplifted car battery at 11:06 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $95.
