North, Ashland post victories at SOC ski meet MOUNT ASHLAND - The North Medford girls and Ashland boys claimed team victories in Southern Oregon League ski competition Saturday at Ski Ashland. Heather Caswell and Brianna Staff finished second and third, respectively, among individual girls to help push the Black Tornado past second-place South Medford by .120 of a second. Lakeview's Megan McDonald took the girls title with a dominating performance that was 14.03 seconds better than the rest of the field. Ashland's Brian Westerberg, Griffin Loop, Josh Romber and Chris Newton finished second through fifth among individual boys to power the Grizzlies' victorious showing.
