Perhaps they will also address the awful problem of improper use of fog lights! Nope, nothing mentioned. Would you consider addressing this issue? — Gary S. Sure, Gary. We'll do more than consider it even. Attention fog light users: There are restrictions on your bright beams. Under Oregon law, they must be turned off when you are within 500 feet of an oncoming vehicle. They also have to be off when you are within 350 feet of a vehicle you are following. These are the same rules that apply to high beams. You also have to leave your fog lights off when visibility is normal. If you don't do it, you're looking at a potential class B traffic violation, which carries a presumptive $260 fine. Oh, and they can't be any other color other than white or yellow. Shelve the blue ones; they're prohibited. More details on this can be found at the Oregon Department of Transportation website .
