At approximately 11:49 a.m. on Aug. 5, 2001, a vehicle driven by Young was involved in a motor vehicle accident near Myrtle Point. A passenger in the pickup truck was killed and two occupants of another vehicle were seriously injured after Young rolled into the path of an oncoming van. Young was charged with manslaughter in the first degree, driving under the influence of intoxicants, two counts of assault in the second degree and four counts of reckless endangerment. A felony warrant was issued for his arrest when he failed to appear for court. Young is a convicted felon who has a previous history of arrests and convictions for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, criminal mischief in the first degree, criminal driving-suspended/revoked and probation violation. Young has lived in Crescent City, Grants Pass and Eagle Point. Law enforcement officers believe he may still be in this area. Young is described as a white male, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing approximately 165 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair. Young has a 6-inch knife scar on his torso, a scar from a bullet wound on his right ankle, a tattoo of a cross on his left hand and right forearm and a tattoo of scribbles on his right shoulder. He has used the alias of Lymon Cecil Henson. The picture shown here is the most recent available.
