SO Famous Arts & Entertainment: Bang On A Can By Robert Hastings Jan 16, 2020 12:00 AM A A Bang On A Can is an annual live music marathon concert being held in New York City. Terry Longshore is the professor for percussion studies at the Oregon Center for the Arts located in Ashland, OR. The invitation to perform across the country came back in May and Terry along with his students couldn't be more excited about the trip. Rehearsals start in early February and they'll be performing renditions of "Rice Fall" by Michael Pizarro and "Strange and Sacred Noise" by John Luther Adams, among other songs. Rosebud was given an exclusive look at a small practice session overseen by Terry with four of his students who took some time to share their thoughts about the performance and the trip.
