Payne October 4, 1938 - December 5, 2014 Richard Allen Payne, 76, of Gold Hill, Ore. passed away December 5, 2014 with son, Jeff, and daughter, Kelley, close at his side. He was born October 4, 1938 in Medford, Ore. to loving parents Howard and Laura Payne. He graduated from the Rogue River Academy of Oregon in 1952. He continued his education in California where he graduated from the Lynwood Academy in 1956. Richard was a retired Operating Engineer; Local 501. He was an avid sportsman for his entire life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and all other outdoor sports activities. He was a life member of the NRA and a supporter of the Oregon Sheriffs' Association. Recently he spent his time working at his ranch. He enjoyed watching baseball and football. He loved the time he spent with friends and family. Richard is survived by his son, Jeffrey; daughter, Kelley; sister, Geraldine; nephews, Ricky and Scott; nieces, Laura and Tammy; grandchildren, Collette, Chad, Nathalie, and Jillian; and all of his grandnieces and grandnephews; he also has numerous cousins that he dearly loved. Some have passed, though many survive him. He loves you all. He was preceded by his mother, Laura; father, Howard; wife, Deanna; and son, Richard. A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Scenic Hills Memorial Park. Wanda Stingley will officiate. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Oregon Sheriffs' Association, P.O.
