Missing man's death considered homicide DORRIS, Calif. -- A single gunshot wound to the head killed a 24-year-old Klamath Falls man whose body was found Thursday by ranchers near Dorris in eastern Siskiyou County, authorities said Monday. Jeffery Kent Rasdal's death is being investigated as a homicide, according to the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Department. A Monday autopsy in Yreka, Calif., confirmed Radal's cause of death. Investigators declined to reveal exactly where in the head Rasdal was shot, nor would they say what type and caliber of weapon was used in the slaying. Rasdal was reported missing Jan. 18 in Klamath Falls, about a hour's drive north of Dorris. His body was found early Thursday afternoon by field hands working in a ranch of Redrock Road about 20 miles east of Dorris. Siskiyou County investigators are asking that anyone who may have seen Rasdal between Jan. 10 and last Thursday, or anyone who has information regarding his death, to telephone the Siskiyou County Secret Witness Program at (530) 841-2900. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered through the secret witness program for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for Rasdal's death. Rasdal is survived by his parents, William and Bonnie Rasdal of Dorris; his brother, William Rasdal of Klamath Falls; and a sister, Krisa Rasdal of Weed.
