Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend October 25, 2005 Honor Roll Auto Racing Several drivers were honored as rookies of the year at the Southern Oregon Speedway banquet Saturday. They were, Brad Wyncoop , modifieds; Darin Morris , pro stocks; Joe Guider , super fours; Brian Merriman , dwarf cars; and Jared Larsen , mini stocks. Vickie Macormic received the Johnny Award. Two Medford racers were honored at the Douglas County Speedway banquet Saturday. Adam Whitlock finished first in points (585) at the speedway. Advertisement The 2004 Rookie of the Year also was crowned street stock champion for 2005. Tom Berry was honored as champion in the modified division with 457 points. Fencing Joel Klepper of the Southern Oregon Fencing Center/Sword and Mask Fencers in Ashland went undefeated and took first place in the American Fencing League’s Novice Foil Tournament in Salem on Oct. 15. Wolfgang Agotta , also of the Ashland club, took fourth place. Bowling Melissa Eilenberger rolled a 300 game and 805 series in the Friday Nite League at Lava Lanes. She became the second player in the Rogue Valley Women’s Bowling Association to record an 800 series. Chase Tester rolled games of 279, 279 and 247 for a total of 805 on Wednesday at Lava Lanes. Jim Brockbank bowled a 299 game in the Columbia 20 Grand Scratch Classic League Thursday at Lava Lanes.
