Compher, 20, of the first block of North Peach Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Compher on charges of first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree sexual penetration, attempted first-degree rape and coercion. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained Friday night on $3 million bail. Forgery — Simon Telez-Cortes, 22, of the 4500 block of Table Rock Road, Central Point. Oregon State Police arrested Telez-Cortes Friday on charges of first-degree possession of a forged instrument and being an illegal alien. He remained in jail Friday night without bail. Forgery — Jose Noe Chavez-Cortes, 20, of the 4500 block of Table Rock Road, Central Point. Oregon State Police arrested Chavez-Cortes Friday on two counts of first-degree possession of a forged instrument and a charge of being an illegal alien. He remained in jail Friday night without bail. Crime reports Theft — 1400 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report Thursday of a theft of a blue 1999 Dodge Durango valued at $13,000. Theft — 300 block of East Sixth Street, Medford. Medford police took a report Thursday of a theft of a laptop computer, two cameras and a briefcase. The items reported stolen had a total estimated value of $3,400. Advertisement Burglary — 600 block of Murphy Road, Medford. Medford police took a report Thursday on a burglary in which a cash box with $60 was stolen from a gastroenterology office in a medical building. Arson — Ray Lane and Ashland Street, Ashland. Ashland fire and police investigators are looking into a suspicious car fire that was reported about 1:30 a.m. Friday. Theft — 1600 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of a theft of 75 video game cartridges valued at $1,300.
