Naumes buys into dealership Sam Naumes has bought a stake in Skinner Buick-Cadillac-Pontiac Inc., the dealership announced. "This is the first time in over 50 years that we have sold stock to a non-family member," John Skinner, the dealership's president, said in a statement. Naumes, who was elected to Skinner's board, owns Naumes Equipment and Fuel Co., which has been located next to the dealership for about 30 years. Under the arrangement, the two businesses will remain separate but share some administrative and management operations. "Since we are neighbors on South Pacific (Highway) and similar businesses in many ways, we will be able to streamline operations," Skinner said in the statement. Naumes will help oversee the day-to-day operations of the dealership. "This is going to be a team effort between John and I," he said in the statement. Skinner plans to expand several of the dealership's services, including its auto brokering program and leasing department.
