Native Documentary Screening: Red Earth Descendants will present a screening of the film "Dancing Salmon Home" at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Ashland Community Center, 59 Winburn Way. The award-winning documentary follows the Winnemem Wintu tribe's struggle to return salmon to the McCloud River near their Mount Shasta-area homeland. Chief Caleen Sisk and filmmaker Will Doolittle will speak and take questions. Roasted buffalo and light appetizers, beverages and dessert will be served.
