A Medford police officer late Thursday arrested Vincent on charges of assaulting a police officer and disorderly conduct. He was booked into jail then released Friday afternoon on his own recognizance. Drugs — Jesse Cameron Brandsen, 20, of the 500 block of Faith Avenue, Ashland. An Ashland police officer Friday arrested Brandsen on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Friday on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Rory Andrew Anderson, 24, of the 100 block of Steinman Drive, Ashland. Anderson appeared Friday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of cocaine. He was booked into jail then released on his own recognizance. Crime reports Burglary — 500 block of East Vilas Road, Central Point. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Friday took a report of a burglary in which someone entered a business and took $13,600 worth of checks. Theft — 1200 block of Morrow Road, Medford. A Medford police officer Friday took a report of a theft in which an electric wheelchair valued at $8,000 was stolen. Miscellaneous Emergency foster care — The Jackson County Child Welfare Department of the Department of Human Services reports that 26 children were placed in foster care in August, with six of those placed with relatives.
