Medford police arrested Shepard Thursday on felony charges of failing to register as a sex offender and heroin possession, and for violating his probation on a previous felony charge of failing to register as a sex offender. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail Thursday without bail. Criminal Mischief — Lauren Alexandra Hafterson, 29, no known address. Jackson County Sheriff's deputies arrested Hafterson Thursday on felony charges of first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree theft and methamphetamine possession, and on misdemeanor charges of second-degree trespassing and tampering with evidence. She was booked in the jail and released on her own recognizance. Drugs — Joseph Warren Helderman, 40, of the 100 block of West Jackson Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Helderman Thursday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession, a warrant charging failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft, and on a sanction for violating his parole on a previous meth possession conviction. He was lodged in jail Thursday without bail. Drugs — Robert William Schmoll, 29, of the first block of East South Stage Road, Medford. Phoenix police arrested Schmoll Thursday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession, and on a warrant charging methamphetamine possession. He was booked in the jail and released because of overcrowding. Assault — Lisa Ann Thompson, 50, of the 6900 block of Butte Falls Highway, Eagle Point. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Thompson Thursday on a felony charge of third-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon, and on a misdemeanor charge of harassment. She was booked in the jail and released on her own recognizance. Assault — Timothy Hilbert Williams, 47, no known address. Medford police arrested Williams Friday on a felony charge of second-degree assault. He was lodged in jail Friday on $250,000 bail. Court Appearance — Justin Dee Chapman, 30, of the 1100 block of Lozier Lane, Medford. On Friday, Chapman made his initial court appearance on a felony charge methamphetamine possession. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance. Court Appearance — Michael Nathan Fredericks, 25, of the 400 block of South Grape Street, Medford. On Friday, Fredericks made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance. Court Appearance — Douglas Michael Ricks, 38, of the 9300 block of Carolina Drive, Central Point. On Friday, Ricks made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle and a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Michael Aaron Copeland Mattson, 23, no known address. Central Point police arrested Mattson Friday on a felony charge of heroin possession, and on a warrant charging failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft. He was lodged in jail Friday on $29,000 bail. Attempted Elude — Jordan Richard Rock, 21, no known address. Central Point police arrested Rock Friday on felony charges of attempting to elude police in a vehicle and heroin possession. He was lodged in jail Friday on $15,000 bail. Drugs — Wade Earl Calkins, 26, no known address. Medford police arrested Calkins Friday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession, and on warrants for failure to appear in court on charges of first-degree burglary, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, heroin possession and distribution, methamphetamine possession, second-degree trespassing, first-degree theft, third-degree theft and first-degree forgery. He was lodged in jail Friday on $110,000 bail. Crime reports Lost Property — Medford police took a report of a missing white rose gold diamond ring at 2:52 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of Ohare Way. The loss was valued at $1,000. Burglary — Medford police took a report of a residential burglary at 6:19 a.m. Friday in the first block of Valley View Drive. A men's bike and a women's bike were reported stolen. The loss was valued at $1,540. Burglary — Medford police took a report of a burglary to a business at 7:32 a.m. Friday in the 1400 block of Center Drive. Items reported stolen included a Holley 6610 carburetor, an Edelbrock 1405 carburetor, a Snow White brand water pump, a Harbor Freight drive socket set and a Craftsman head socket set. The loss was valued at $1,088. Theft — Medford police took a report of theft from two vehicles at 10:48 a.m. Friday in the 300 block of North Central Avenue. Items reported stolen included a Sony car stereo system from a pickup and a Panasonic radio from a car. The loss was valued at $1,100. Theft — Medford police took a report of a stolen anniversary band at 1:11 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of Stevens Street. The loss was valued at $1,399. Burglary — Medford police took a report of a residential burglary at 1:29 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. Items reported stolen included miscellaneous jewelry including rings, necklaces and bracelets, a bag of new miscellaneous kitchen hand tools, an older Apple MacBook Pro computer, a red HP mini laptop and a portable Bluetooth speaker. The loss and damage to the residence was valued at $2,640.
