Kathrine Edith DeVore Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Aug. 4, 2016 at 2:00 AM Posted Aug. 4, 2016 at 2:00 AM » Social News August 18, 1938 - August 1, 2016 Kathrine Edith DeVore known as “Kathy” (Pebbles) 77, passed quietly Monday, August 1, 2016 at Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, Ore. due to multi-organ failure. Kathy was born August 18, 1938 in Commerce, Mich. to Reginald and Dorthea Mayer. Kathrine (eldest of a twin set) grew up the third of 10 siblings. As a young child her family moved to northern California where she was raised. In 1959 she met and married LeRoy DeVore in Medford Ore. After moving to and living in southern California for a short time, Kathrine gave birth to their first son, Watson Lee DeVore. Shortly after they moved back to southern Oregon where Kathrine gave birth to their second son, Reginald Lee DeVore and daughter, Tina Marie DeVore. Kathrine and her husband raised their loving family at their home in Central Point, Ore. Kathy was known for her fun-loving nature which included family, friends, playing games, and lots of laughter. When her siblings were near, a good old-fashioned food fight was sure to follow. Her giving nature impacted those who knew her. She is survived by her three children, Watson Lee DeVore of Carr, Colo., Reginald Lee DeVore of Eagle Point, Ore., and Tina Marie Garvin of Central Point, Ore.; her siblings, Emilie Hartwell of Central Point Ore., Kathleen Taylor of Medford, Ore., George Mayer of Crescent City, Calif., Frank Mayer of Midland City, Ala., Fredrick Wyckoff of Cottonwood, Calif., Reginald Michael Wyckoff of Hayfork, Calif., Darrell Fritz of McKinney, Texas, and Danny Fritz of Idaho. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Kathrine was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Patricia Ross.
