With 2278 points, Southern Oregon’s Kendra McGrath leads the women’s heptathlon event over teammate Megan Heuberger. McGrath, who has led the heptathlon from the start, has finished no lower than fourth in any of the first four events to maintain her lead after day one. McGrath won the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.18 seconds; 1.5 seconds ahead of the second place finisher. In the decathlon, Eastern Oregon’s Josh Allen is led Oregon Tech’s Nick Bakke by just 65 points after five events.
